For years, our office has been creating not only traditional architecture but also furniture, models, and artwork that have become indispensable in our daily lives. Creativity is an essential skill that requires practice. Almost every product is based on experimenting with different techniques and materials. It is only through the resistance of application that an idea becomes a finished work—the kneading of a clay figure, for example. These works don't have to be expensive, durable, team-oriented, or compromise-driven, which is what makes them so appealing as a complement to architecture.
What's important to us are the connections from which an idea or motif develops. In his animation, Florian Schauhuber let the stuffed crocodile from an exhibition at the Jewish Museum drift seemingly lost in digital space – this became the pattern for an apron. Most of our designs have a history closely intertwined with the architecture and projects of our firm.
