The motif is based on an animation by Florian Schauhuber, which was inspired by an exhibition design at the Jewish Museum Vienna. There, a stuffed crocodile, along with a sphinx and Metternich's briefcase, became one of the protagonists in the story "The Viennese Rothschilds. A Thriller."

The ceiling painting in the crypt of Altenberg Abbey, located in northern Lower Austria, served as the model. These Baroque fantasies lure us from everyday life into a mythic-religious parallel world. Or, more disturbingly, they depict the intrusion of the afterlife into this world.
