The Schuberth & Schuberth bag is perfect for office games or a Sunday afternoon drawing session. The pattern is inspired by the word "and" in our office name; it's not a commercial ampersand or a plus sign like in addition. Originating from the combination of two siblings' names, it now represents the connection between very different people in one office, working together on joint projects and endeavors.

For an exhibition at the Depot Gallery in Berlin, we created a series of large-format plasticine sculptures. Titled "In Praise of the Ceiling," we explored the element of the ceiling – a component that manages to remain untouched by the upheavals of the present and maintains a certain dignity and distance. Sometimes, temporary suspended ceilings protected the old stucco from the iconoclasm of time.

Exhibition Depot

One of the paintings was modeled after the ceiling fresco in the crypt of Altenberg Abbey, located in northern Lower Austria. These Baroque fantasies lure us from everyday life into a mythic-religious parallel world. Or, more disturbingly, they depict the intrusion of the afterlife into this world.
